01 / THE BUILD

Try a focused infrastructure service.

The earlier Pi-hole work began with a dedicated Proxmox LXC container and preparation for installation. It was a way to explore how a small infrastructure service can affect the experience of a whole network.

02 / THE BUILD

Plan before making it central.

Container resources, service separation, and testing were part of the setup discussion. The project is about learning those operational decisions, rather than simply adding another application.

03 / THE BUILD

The lab has priorities.

The latest notes put Pi-hole on the later list while ZedMon and other builds receive attention. It is included as an experiment on hold, not a claim of an active network-wide deployment.

THE TAKEAWAYChoosing when to defer a service is part of designing a lab that stays useful.
