01 / THE BUILD
Bring the cloud into the lab.
The project is about understanding a personal file cloud from the infrastructure upward. Nextcloud provides the platform for exploring file access, organization, and sharing.
02 / THE BUILD
A foundation, a paused next step.
The latest notes describe the local server as available while external-access work is on hold. A service existing inside the lab is different from a service ready for sharing from anywhere.
03 / THE BUILD
The longer-term goal.
Access away from home and sharing files with other people remain the goal. That future phase needs a settled connection and access design before it is called complete.
THE TAKEAWAYSelf-hosting is as much about access and operations as it is about starting an application.
STILL CURIOUS
What’s next?
Return to the external-access design when the project resumes.
