01 / THE BUILD

A different kind of machine.

The ProLiant brings server hardware into a lab that began with smaller systems. It is a chance to learn how enterprise equipment behaves in a personal environment.

02 / THE BUILD

The unglamorous parts count.

The build notes include memory compatibility and console-output troubleshooting. Understanding the machine underneath the services is part of the experience.

03 / THE BUILD

Separate the symptom from the system.

When local video output disappeared, Proxmox and the online services were still working. A disconnected VGA connection was the culprit, a reminder to check the physical path alongside the software view.

THE TAKEAWAYSometimes the most valuable diagnostic is checking the cable after checking the dashboard.
