DASHBOARDS / BUILD STORY
In progressZed Weather.
A little weather obsession. A dedicated screen.
01 / THE BUILD
Make a hobby part of the room.
I love weather, and I wanted the lab to have a dedicated display for it. The idea is to glance over and see the sky taking shape through radar, forecasts, and useful conditions.
02 / THE BUILD
Start with the hardware already here.
The Raspberry Pi handles the monitor output. It gives the display a place alongside the rest of the lab and a way to experiment with a web dashboard in kiosk mode.
03 / THE BUILD
Clarity before more panels.
The cleanup work keeps the dark design, enlarges radar and forecast charts, improves spacing, and makes feed status clearer. A historical-metrics placeholder was removed instead of leaving a panel that suggested more than was connected.
04 / THE BUILD
Room to grow.
Nearby lightning and a future Tempest weather station are interests for the project. They remain roadmap items until the corresponding feeds and hardware have been connected and verified.
THE TAKEAWAYBigger, useful panels beat a wall of tiny numbers on an always-on display.
STILL CURIOUS
